There are several types of dementia but in this book the author focuses on Sundown Dementia, Vascular Dementia and Lewy Body Dementia. Stages, symptoms, signs, prognosis, diagnosis, treatments, progression, care and mood changes are all covered. The author, Lindsay Leatherdale, a 20 year old neuro-science and psychology under graduate, with a special interest in dementia, has a grandmother who was diagnosed with sundown and vascular dementia. Her friend's mum was diagnosed with Lewy Body dementia. She wanted to help caring for her grandmother and decided to buy some books about sundown, vascular and lewy body dementia. To her disappointment there was a lack of good informative books available on the three types of dementia. She decided to investigate the subject thoroughly and write a book about it to be able to help others. The book is written in an easy to read and understandable style.
